Fotofacials
We are currently using the new Lume-1 machine by Lumenis  This machine produces enhances results with deeper penetration and many more options. Fotofacial treatments are full face, neck and/or body treatments using pulses of visible light.  After a series of five or more treatments, one will see an overall improvement in sun damaged, aging skin.  Treatments reduce freckling, irregular pigmentation and dilated blood vessels.  The skin will appear brighter and clearer.  This technique is also very effective for the redness and flushing of rosacea.  We are very excited that finally, one can safely treat non-facial areas such as the neck and chest.

Each treatment takes approximately 20-30  minutes, depending on which areas are being treated.  A topical numbing cream is first applied to the treatment areas.  After each session, transient pinkness occurs, which usually lasts only a few hours and occasionally, overnight.  People with more significant brown spots may notice a darkening of these areas, which then gradually "peel off" over the next several days.  Other than this, there is virtually no down time.  If desired, make-up can be applied immediately after the treatment.  Repeat sessions are scheduled every 3-4 weeks.
