Microdermabrasion is a gentle, superficial peeling device that, over several treatments, allows one to improve skin texture and color, open clogged pores and acne, soften rough skin and improve the overall appearance of the skin.  Additionally, microdermabrasion allows better absorption of topical medications into the skin and, therefore, is a great adjunct for acne and sun damage treatments.

A precise stream of very fine crystals is directed through the SkinScape hand piece onto the skin to loosen the outermost layer of dead cells.  It then suctions away both the debris and the crystals to reveal fresh, invigorated skin.  There is minimal discomfort associated with this treatment and virtually no recuperation.

We also perform other light chemical peels including Beta peels, revitalize peels and cosmelan peels.  We have seen dramatic results in improving skin texture and color with many of these procedures.  Cosmelan is a newer peeling system which consists of an in-office mask as well as a take home cream.  It is very effective for discoloration from melasma, sun damage and acne break-outs.  Call for more information….
